To: All Voting Members, Chinook Club of America, Inc. Re: Bylaws and Standard Vote
Dear Voting Members:
You will be receiving a ballot
in the mail this week for two documents of great importance
to the Chinook Club of America, the bylaws and breed
standard. These documents are required to be approved by
the membership in AKC format before the club can apply for
Miscellaneous class, the first step toward full AKC
recognition. Therefore, I'd like to encourage
each and every one of you to support the club by reviewing
the proposed bylaws and standard and casting your vote. The
bylaws in particular require approval by 2/3 of the
membership in order to pass, so it is extremely important to
have the participation of as many of you as possible.
The following link contains both the proposed bylaws and breed standard to be voted on: 6.29.09 CCA Bylaws and Standard (85K PDF). A decision was made to email these documents to our membership in order to reduce the amount of paper consumed and control cost as we're a small club. To ensure that everyone has access to the documents, they will also be distributed in a clubwide email to all members with email accounts or sent as hard copies to members who do not have email accounts with the ballot insert alerting everyone that they should have received them. In addition to the proposed bylaws and standard, our web site also contains the current standard and bylaws under "CCA Documents" should anyone wish to compare them with the versions being voted on. Finally, please ensure that all ballots are marked with your vote and received back (not postmarked) by July 20, 2009. If for some reason you do not receive a ballot by the end of this week, please contact me immediately so that I may assist you.
